Hampton Inn Massillon

* Clean room, friendly staff, great hot breakfast

The gang of bored teens hanging around the parking structure should have been shooed away. They were there for hours, and were doing their best to be intimidating.

It was an unbeatable location close to restaurants and bars, multiple downtown attractions and restaurants and Hampton Inn Massillon. The breakfast always had hot choices.

The check-in was like a circus act, them muzzling all the clowns in the room, I mean, who knew a heavy door could be more troublesome than a toddler? I thought I'd get a complimentary upgrade after my experience with the drip above the toilet, but apparently, they don't believe in such niceties. Almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

Location

Never received room service, even though we were out of the room for several hours. Had to call and ask for the trash to be emptied and for clean towels. When I mentioned this at check out, was just given excuses.

Overall clean, although you can tell little things were not cleaned thoroughly. When we arrived, there was trash on the floor. And they didn't clean the shower while we were there.

The hotel is next to a bus stop, but they did have a special thing to go up to prevent others from trying to enter the building who should not be. The employees always seemed to be taking up the parking by the elevator doors which seemed odd to me - as you would think the people trying to unload all the luggage should be closer.

Clean and spacious rooms, modern lobby design, proximity to Canton's attractions

The main entrance doors failed multiple times, resulting in frustration!!! There were also significant maintenance issues in the rooms that could use attention!!!

It was there, I had a funeral in the area and needed a place to stay.

My expectation for a Hampton Inn was high, have stayed in several, various states. Everything was as every other hotel, nothing outstanding. In my room, remote for tv didn't work..seriously? For the price of the room, it should have been a lot better.

Lobby has been nicely upgraded. We had last been at this hotel in 2004. Loved the interactive travel screen next to the brochures.

The garage elevator to lobby may still be a little confusing to those new to this location.

Friendly staff, good air conditioning in the room. Minor issue with parking availability.

My stay was very nice for holidays. Had tidy and absolutely perfect room with microwave and refrigerator, which I loved. Location: the hotel was short walk to Massillon for a wedding and Canton and the Football Hall of Fame.

Had not stayed in a Hampton and I was very impressed. Soft sheets and comfortable bed. Very good and balanced breakfast. Will stay here again when I'm in town.

Parking could be confusing, but after reading other reviews it was easy to figure out.

Just a decent option for a day tour in Massillon, offering great value for money. The staff was really friendly and helped me find a great local restaurant nearby. Be sure to ask for dinner recommendations!

The room's cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was a highlight, with grits as a tasty option, and the staff were really good, ensuring all needs were met. Accessing the main entrance was awkward, and street noise disrupted our sleep. The fitness room felt cramped and limited.
